Social AIDS Committee (SKA) [in progress]
Project: Through a fellowship from the Open Society Institute, I was sent in June 2007 to work with the Social AIDS Committee (Społeczny Komitet ds. AIDS, or SKA), an NGO based in Warsaw, Poland. The purpose of the project was first to explore and analyze different media strategy opportunities for SKA. Later to provide technical support to design and develop some web technology solutions, as well as helping SKA members to learn how to use the technology to carry on the work.
Results: Created new logo and branding materials. Built a trilingual (Polish, Russian and English) website for both SKA and SKA Street (a parter organization) on Drupal framework, with an internal Forum and calendar. Currently in transition from SKA's old site (on a Joomla framework). Also see design of an informational pamphlet for SKA Street at left -- click for full preview.
Update: The SKA Street website design has been updated (skastreet.org)!!! Along with the design and the Drupal framework, the website includes an eCounseling form that allows site visitors to anonymously contact different consultants related to legal, medical or psychological issues around HIV/AIDS. SKA is now finalizing content and should have the page ready soon.
Also in the pipeline is an update to SKA's main web site (skaids.org). Coming soon to a browser near you!
